Govt Utkrist Sr Sec School Jhagriani Came into existence in the yaer 1925-26 as Govt Primary School in private building at village Jhagriani. This Institution was upgraded as G.M.S in the yaer 1956,as G.H.S in the year 1969 and GSSS in the year 1995.Since then the institution is progressing rapidly.Its Campus is spreading in the huge area of 20 Kanal. It is located in Rural area and situated between Kudhar to Hamirpur Road at Jhagriani(Dhaned) Block HAMIRPUR District Hamirpur of Himachal Pradesh. The school consists of Classes 6th to 12th with streams i.e Science, Commerce and Arts(+1 and +2). The medium of teaching is Hindi and English from 6th to 10th since 2007.It's Building consist's of 29 rooms,a big examination Hall with sitting capacity of 200 Students and newly constructed well equiped digital library.Besides this the Institution has well equipped Physics,Chemistry,Biology,IT,ICT,2 Virtual Labs i.e(Tourism/Hospitality and Telecom).There are 8 Virtual Class Rooms and every class room is properly vantilated. School has got provision for indoor games i.e Table Tennis, Chess,Boxing.In extra Curricular activities we have got NSS, Scout Guide,Eco-Club,Road Safety,Praehri Career Counselling Class.Sexual Harasment Committee guides the students especially girls regarding the endocent related issues like personal hygiene good touch,bad touch and self defence. Each class room of vidyalaya is connected with internet so that online lessons can be delivered to the students on demand. School academic session starts in April,affilated to Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education Dharamsala(Kangra) .Since its inception,the school has been producing excellent result in boards as well as competitive examinations.
